Exosome Fundamentals
The Science and Significance in Aesthetics
Exosomes are revolutionizing regenerative aesthetics, offering a cutting-edge solution for skin and scalp support. Understanding the basics of exosomes is key to appreciating their transformative potential in post-procedure care and overall skin health.
What are Exosomes?
Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles (30-200 nanometers) naturally released by various cells, including stem cells. Acting as "cellular messengers," they facilitate communication between cells such as fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and immune cells. Exosomes deliver precise biological messages—proteins, lipids, mRNA, RNA, cytokines, interleukins, and other genetic materials—that support cellular processes.Often referred to as "data coding avatars," exosomes play a key role in promoting cellular rejuvenation and optimizing skin function, contributing to a radiant, youthful appearance.
Analogy: Imagine a cell is the size of a house. Within that house, a marble represents a molecule, a ping-pong ballrepresents a cytokine, and a tennis ball represents a growth factor. Now, an exosome would be the size of a grape—small but packed with powerful instructions that direct the house’s activities.

The Engine of Excellence:
Introducing EXO-SCRT™
Our Patented Technology
EXO-SCRT™ is more than just a process; it's the proprietary, patented technology that powers every BENEV exosome product. It is the reason we can deliver unmatched purity, stability, and efficacy.
The Process: How We Achieve Perfection
A Meticulous Process for Unrivaled Quality
EXO-SCRT™ is a multi-step, pharmaceutical-grade process designed to isolate pure, intact exosomes while preserving their full biological power.
-
Purification: We use advanced Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) to expertly separate exosomes from raw materials and cellular debris. This is the first step toward our industry-leading purity.
-
Filtration: Multiple rounds of rigorous filtration remove any remaining impurities, ensuring only high-quality exosomes move to the next stage.
-
Lyophilization (Freeze-Drying): This critical final step removes water to place the exosomes in a state of suspended animation. This is an extremely complex process that locks in their structural integrity and potency until the moment of use.¹

The Benefits: Purity, Stability, and Efficacy
Why EXO-SCRT™ Delivers Superior Results
Our proprietary process translates directly into tangible benefits that matter to clinicians and their patients.
-
Unmatched Purity (99%): EXO-SCRT™ removes unwanted and unnecessary materials, resulting in **99% pure exosomes.**¹ This minimizes the risk of adverse reactions and maximizes the regenerative signaling power in every application.
-
Exceptional Stability: Lyophilization is the only way to maintain the long-term integrity of the delicate proteins and genetic material within exosomes. This ensures a long shelf life and consistent performance without the need for complex cold-chain storage²
-
Guaranteed Efficacy: By preserving the exosome's bilipid membrane and surface proteins, EXO-SCRT™ ensures they remain intact and fully functional. This allows them to effectively communicate with target cells and drive the visible results your clients expect.

Human skin cells easily uptake BENEV Exosome products powered by ExoSCRT ™ which means that stem cell-derived exosomes can message skin cells to “Do Something". After delivery of BENEV Exosome products powered by ExoSCRT ™ into fibroblasts, neocollagenesis can increase up to 6 folds.

Lyophilization VS Frozen

-
Lyophilization is the only way to maintain the integrity of proteins, miRNAs, & lipids contained in exosomes. In water, those molecules are degraded over time.
-
Lyophilization is an extremely complex process, especially with a delicate particle such as an exosome, extensive research and investment is required to perfect the process and can rarely be successfully completed unless in an environment dedicated to the lyophilization of exosomes.
-
Well known toxins and pharmaceuticals have been lyophilized for 45+ years, when perfected the process is successful. Proteins and miRNAs are not stable in water long term.
